At Corporate Lending (CL) we work in the fast developing energy transition world, and we enable our Wholesale clients (Revenues > EUR 250mln) within Europe to transform, grow, invest and innovate to reach their sustainability goals and enable strategic growth opportunities. As a senior relationship manager CL you are responsible for a portfolio 15-20 ET Wholesale clients where you have the lead in the origination, structuring and execution of corporate lending (and multi product) transactions for those clients in the energy transition value chain.
You and your job
Your main goal is to define and execute action plans regarding servicing of existing clients, and the acquisition of new clients and translating customer financing needs in (alternative) corporate lending products. Our working environment is dynamic, interesting, international, demanding and flexible. You work with client interaction (external) and risk approval (internal), whilst coordinating with client coverage, other products and key stakeholders in the Banking4Energy community in Europe.

Top 3 responsibilities
- Perform a leading role in originating, structuring (green) loan facilities and deal management processes, a steering role for financial analysis, modelling, negotiating and having a final responsibility together with the commercial credit analyst for credit reports.
- Support and actively seek opportunities in relation to the ambition of Wholesale E&A strategy of leadership in sustainable transitions and more specifically around the clean energy transition value chains.
- Act as a coach for associates and commercial credit analysts to deliver the best possible service to our clients and sustain a high performance, collaborative team culture.

The 15 people in the Energy Transition & Circularity team enable our clients to transform, grow, invest, and innovate to reach their sustainability goals. The ET&C team is one of five transition oriented lending teams based in Utrecht and is composed of c. 15 relationship managers and credit analysts. The team has a European focus and an ambitious prospecting agenda to grow the current portfolio of c. 90 wholesale clients with approx. 15 clients annually. Working together is the way we work; as 1 determined team at Rabobank.
You and your talent
- Experienced (10+ years) with a background in Wholesale Banking, amongst others within corporate lending, project and structure finance, acquisition finance, trade & commodity finance or financial advisory & solutions.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in the areas of lending, structuring complex financings, credit risk management, loan documentation and preferably knowledgeable in the energy sector and bringing in your own network.
- Experience in managing deal processes, modelling, pitching and negotiating transactions and documentation;
- Wants to get results, strong commercial drive.
- Encourages collaboration and has a “can do” mentality.
- Positive mind-set aimed at continuously improving the business and the people you work with.
- You are currently living and allowed to work in The Netherlands.
This is what we offer you
- Gross monthly salary between EUR 6,475 and EUR 9,250 (scale 11) for a 36 hour week
- Thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance
- 10% Employee Benefit Budget
- EUR 1,400 development budget per year
- Hybrid working: balance between home and office work (possible for most roles)
- A pension, for which you can set the maximum amount of your personal contribution
