(senior) associate at Structured Acquisition Finance Mid Corporates
As an (senior) associate at Structured Acquisition Finance Mid Corporates (SAF MC), you will use your talent to analyse interesting finance opportunities of our Private Equity clients. From day one, you’ll be part of the entire deal process, from initial client meetings, modelling & structuring complex financing solutions, to eventually closing the deal. Working with like-minded ambitious colleagues you’ll grow your understanding of customers active in a broad range of sectors. As a member of the deal team, you will ensure the best possible credit structure for our clients, in which you have a connecting role: within ING with Risk and other finance departments, but also outside ING with private equity parties, entrepreneurs and other banks. Role and responsibility
As an (senior) associate at Structured Acquisition Finance Mid Corporates, you work in a self-managing team of around 20 specialists based at ING’s head office in Amsterdam. You are the point of contact for private equity parties and help this customer group with their acquisitions. We are customer-oriented and our goal is to always exceed our customers’ expectations. At SAF MC, you will have the opportunity to work in small deal teams of 2 to 3 people in an informal working environment, which will give you a lot of responsibility from the word go. Your role will involve:
- Analysing business models, sector trends and financial figures, to model forecasts and scenarios;
- Visiting clients and managing a variety of stakeholders including debt advisors and other lenders;
- Drafting credit proposals, term sheets and lending documentation; and
- Working with departments across ING, such as relationship management teams, credit risk, corporate finance and other lending teams.
How to succeed
You have an analytical mind and an eye for detail. You see the bigger picture and are excited by complex financing structures. Your background:
- 4-6 year experience, preferable with some experience in financial services, analysing business models and financial products;
- Fluency in Dutch and English (written and spoken); and
- A master’s degree.
