(Senior) Associate – Financial Analysis and Structuring Team (FAST)

Job Description & Summary

The Data Analytics and Technology (DAT) team is as a hub for financial professionals with a keen interest in technology and innovation within the Deals business unit. This team contributes to major transactions to deliver data-driven insights that are crucial for prospective mergers and acquisitions. FAST being a cornerstone of the DAT team, focusses on delivering deeper rapid financial insights in a Deals context.  The team is responsible for creating financial data models and analyses for approximately 100+ deals annually and works seamlessly with our financial due diligence practice. 

What will you be doing?

We are seeking a technically skilled Senior Associate to join FAST. This role is ideal for someone with a foundation in Excel, Alteryx, Power BI and data modelling concepts. 

• Execute core data structuring and warehousing tasks on complex engagements, ensuring high-quality data transformation and analysis in collaboration with the offshore teams;
• Utilize advanced Excel, Alteryx, and PowerBI skills to process, structure and visualize financial data, whilst .effectively collaborating across timezones;
• Develop into a subject matter expert for Deals colleagues on financial data models and analyses. Showcasing critical and structured thinking to come to pragmatic solutions in our short ambitious deal timelines;
• Review and validate the output from the offshore team, ensuring adherence to PwC standards and industry best practices; 
• Support the implementation of AI-powered tools to improve deal insights and delivery speed;
• Continuously seek and identify automation and standardization opportunities in our current operating model and develop innovative solutions;
• Engage with colleagues globally to contribute to the testing and development of new technological solutions;
• Work closely with senior professionals on client engagements to gain insights and enhance your technical and consulting skills;
• Participate in training sessions to broaden your expertise in data analytics and Deals;
• Foster a collaborative team environment, contributing to group problem-solving and cross-cultural teams. 

Does this desribe you?

• 0-3 years of experience in a business environment, with a preference for management or consulting experience;
• Strong technical skills in Excel, Alteryx, and Power BI, with experience in data structuring and analysis;
• Comfortable with financial statements, consolidation schedules, trial balances, with a rudimentary understanding of bookkeeping;
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities;
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment; 
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic consulting deals environment;
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
