Without contracts we cannot work with suppliers. With our ‘buy over make’ strategy in mind, contracts are becoming increasingly important as we become more dependent on the performance of our suppliers. Working with suppliers also comes with a risk. The Third-party risk management (TPRM) Officer is our expert in the team that supports the supplier managers and contract owners in managing the third-party risks. You will work using the TPRM framework that is constantly evolving due to new regulations across the globe like the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the updated outsourcing guidelines by the Monetary Authority Singapore (MAS) amongst others.
The Supplier Management team that you will be part of is situated in the Center of Excellence IT Control&Service Management (CoE). The CoE reports into the Chief Information Officer. You will work in a team of 7 supplier managers (based in Amsterdam, Chicago and Singapore) that supports the contract owners across the globe. You also will work closely with the Supply Chain & Outsourcing Office within the ABN AMRO group as representative of ABN AMRO Clearing Bank (AACB). We support contract owners globally with 330+ contracts and 170 suppliers.
Your job
As a Third-Party Risk Officer, you are a subject matter expert (SME) for the colleagues on how to manage your third and fourth parties. You will have regular catchups with all the other SME’s in the TPRM framework and provide continuous training towards the organization on capturing the risks and mitigating them using the provided tools.
Your activities include:
- Actively align and be participant of the Supply Chain & Outsourcing Office of ABN AMRO that has the global mandate on TPRM
- Be the capability owner of TPRM within AACB as the responsible role to make sure these new TPRM requirements are captured (together with Legal) and will be embedded in the TPRM framework and in the standard operating procedures for onboarding, managing and offboarding of contracts.
- Actively align and be participant of the Cloud Control Tower of AACB
- Update procedures, tooling and training to all involved roles within the TPRM framework and process (including checks on completeness and quality of the third-party risk data)
- Conduct third-party risk assessments on third parties in conjunction with the other subject matter experts.
- Managing and overseeing the risk of third parties that delivers ICT services and report on TPRM risks in risk committees and take/coordinate follow up actionsNetworking and stakeholder management with relevant product owners, grid owners (Chief Information Officer, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Product Officer) and Center of Excellence leads.
Working environment
ABN AMRO Clearing is as a specialized business unit within ABN AMRO and holds its own banking license (ABN AMRO Clearing Bank NV). ABN AMRO Clearing IT has a global focus with a variety of programs on both country and global level. The organisation is self-supporting, running its own applications and hosting them from its outsourced data centres across the globe (London and Singapore). Management of IT suppliers is globally organized with a focus on rationalization and centralisation. Cooperation and alignment with the different Grids and Center of Excellences (CoEs), is pro-actively managed.
To support agility there is a continuous focus on digitalize operational processes. Applications like Ariba, Jira and Wiki are fully adopted.
Your profile
- At least a completed HBO study in a business, compliance or IT direction,
- At least five years of relevant work experience in third party risk management and preferably contract management.
- You can easily interact and be flexible in communications with senior management, risk committees and supporting functions
- You are independent, analytical, take initiative and are pragmatic
- You have a passion for working with third party data on quality and completeness
- Able to be a sparring partner for product owners, IT leads and other departments, such as Procurement, Security (CISO), Group Audit and Legal.
- You have a good understanding of the English language, spoken and written. Dutch language is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Excel (pivot)
- Knowledge of CATS CM® and agile way of working is an advantage.
- Conceptual knowledge of compliance and legal legislation on third party risk management
- Knowledge of ABN AMRO's organization is an advantage or a similar highly regulated environment
We are offering
- The gross monthly salary displayed above on our careerpage is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
- The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
